Tanto Roanoke Pinball Museum como Bernard's merecen una visita. Merece la pena visitar este bar para probar sus caseras ostras rockefeller, su atrayente pescado y sus singulares mejillones. Ven y pídete unas perfectamente elaboradas peras asadas, un sorprendente pudin de plátano o un delicado postre de plátano. No vas a poder olvidar el estupendo bourbon, la excelente cerveza de grifo y los deliciosos martinis que se pueden degustar aquí. Bernard's ofrece entre sus bebidas una magnífica limonada.
Invita a tus amigos a disfrutar de este lugar y de su maravilloso ambiente. Comprueba por ti mismo lo amable que es su personal. Este lugar te permite elegir entre una gran variedad de platos a unos precios adecuados. Un gran número de clientes destacan que la decoración esta cuidada. We were in town for New Year's Eve and made reservations somewhere else. That place forgot to mention that it was a select menu, mostly seafood and $100 a plate. We politely declined and wandered into Bernard's and are so glad we did! The food was amazing, the portions are huge, the staff are amazing and the vibe is perfect! We will definitely be back!

Wow...don't let the 'gastropub' categorization fool you. When my wife heard me suggest we go here for dinner and she took a look at the website her question was 'is that just a fancy name for bar food?' Well the answer is h*ll no! It's a nicely decorated spot with a bar running along one side of the wall and the somewhat open kitchen towards the front of the space. Nice ambience and decor and there are several TV's behind the bar so yes, you can grab a drink and catch the game here if you like. That said, I'm sure the bar serves cold beer and great drinks but the food is clearly the star of the show here.. The Pear Salad with a poppyseed dressing is delicious. The flavors meld so nicely with the walnuts, bleu cheese, shaved onions and cucumbers combining for a nice bite. The Chicken Milanese comes with 2 large chicken breasts pan seared with a nice crispy crust and creamy potato purée with a spot-on brown gravy. Even the broccoli is taken to another level when mixed with the gravy and the puree. Every gastropub has a burger or two on the menu and so does Bernard's. The Backyard Burger is a tasty rendition with freshly ground beef grilled nicely on the outside and cooked exactly to the temperature requested. Fresh cut fries are also crispy and a great accompaniment to the burger. All of us were so impressed and we'd love to have Bernard's in the DMV as we would be regulars. If you live in Roanoke consider yourself lucky as you can hit up Bernard's and try all the dishes. If the others are anywhere like the dishes we got, you should be as happy as we were. If you are downtown and looking for a place to eat this is the place to go!
