Needed a quick caffeine fix and this did it. I went in around 3 in the afternoon so it wasn't as busy. Ordered a 16oz mocha latte with whipped cream and it is delicious! Glad to support local businesses and will be back to try their other drinks.

The Blue Bean Coffee Company (BBCC) isn't a craft coffee shop that allows people to go, "hmmm, yes. Papaya, maple, and... is that dark chocolate?!" (though I'm sure that you can if you really wanted to). It's a simpler place, and that's not a bad thing. Each time I've been to BBCC, I've noticed the same people there. The same patrons coming in at the same time talking to the same baristas. It's the kind of place where everybody knows your name and they're always glad that you came. I get feeling that if I continued to come on a weekly basis, the baristas would end up knowing who I am and what I'm up to. They've got a very friendly staff. The coffee isn't mind-blasting, but that's okay. I've tried their latte and their brewed coffee. I prefer their brewed coffee to their espresso drinks. The milk is a bit too foamy and the shot was a bit on the watery side, but their brewed coffee was pretty good! It was smooth and didn't have any bitterness to it. I didn't try any of their flavored drinks like their namesake drink, the Blue Bean. When I was there, I kept hearing people get it, so it might be good. It seems like it'd be a bit sweet for me, but to each their own. Their prices are extremely reasonable. A never-ending cup of brewed coffee was less than $3, and their espresso drinks are around the same price. The specialty drinks escalate in price, but even so, that's a pretty good deal. Apparently, BBCC has been around for over ten years now, but this was the first that I've ever heard of it. It's a cozy place that I hope sticks around for years to come!
