This was our first and LAST visit to this place. The service was decent (but how hard can it be, no one was there) and the atmosphere is ok. The food is below average though and overpriced. Most of our food was underdone (barely toasted bread, undercooked waffles and pancakes). There was no reason to rush, they were not busy at all. The portions are small and the prices are ridiculous for what's being served. Not that we would have wanted to eat larger portions of what they served. It appears that they use egg substitute, not actual eggs for everything (gross) and their "skillet potatoes" are clearly frozen potatoes from HEB. It's really no surprise that this place was dead at 9am on a Sunday. We won't be back, there are just better places in the area that are more reasonably priced.
Ive been here twice and have been disappointed each time. I have a severe pork allergy on my first visit i ordered french toast and chicken and waffles for my table and a couple drinks. I made sure to mention the allergy to the waiter, and we enjoyed our drinks. The food comes and the laid bacon over the french toast and eggs. Obviously i cant eat this, call my waiter and hes confused. He made sure to mention it to the kitchen. 30 minutes later he arrives with cold french toast and fresh eggs, i was irritated and just took it to go. They were starting to close and i had been there for almost 2 hours! I just called it a bad day for the kitchen. Today i ordered doordash at 11:45. French toast w eggs and NO MEAT. My order arrives at 12:30 and AGAIN bacon over the whole meal. Frustrated, bc whats the point of doordash if you have to return to the store? I call explain and tell the host id like the same order. I arrive and they tell me sit at the bar, the bartender will handle everything. Shes making drinks and is busy so the host tells me the manager wants to know what i want?? The food i paid for or my money back! The manager didnt speak to me once, the bartender is the only one who actually gave any service. I then had to wait another 30 minutes for the food. What's frustrating about that? I called, why didnt you start my order then? So when the foods ready the manager puts my food next to me and says her foods ready like im not there.. i didnt get my food till 1:15! I will never return for anything here! They've literally tried to kill me twice with pork and theyre rude as hell! Minus the bartender who I appreciate! Surely if you read the other reviews and gotten this far with mine, youve heard it all.
Their beignets and country Benedict were good. Not life-changing, but edible. The service wasn't outstanding. We were too early to enjoy the bottomless mimosas (starting at 10 am).
