I expected more from dinner for €60 pp. Waitresses working past each other, a cheese board of initially unknown cheeses, unknown what to drink with it, and actually no one keeping an eye on us or having an overview. But a nice meal. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €60–70 Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3

QUITE ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT ++ MORE STAFF IS NEEDED + We had three nights at Haarlem, and we tested (on private grounds) the bistro of ML (quite good), La Plume (not good) and lastly Café Colette. Colette was, as you will know, a very famous artist. One would wish that the owner (or the owner lady) of Colette goes one time for five days to Paris just to see how a good bistro is running there. May be at Gare du Nord or (famous) Café Select in Montparnasse. Professional waiters, working at mid-day at an incredible speed, but still full of politeness. There, in two hours, 60% of the daily business is made, and overall it is running as very good oiled machine, but with value. And may be you put somebody of your kitchen also for two weeks to Paris. The meat of my tornedos was tender, but it was more what the French call "cuisine familiale". However, my wife was happy with her "poussin" which means that there is room for improvement. Good luck !
