This place deserves a special shout out! I was in my morning walking routine, but on the way to Artisan Coffee Roaster, because I had them on the list to visit. The place itself from the outside looks like an old Pharmacy, and if you are a visitor who has some experience in specialty coffee world, you would maybe be unconvinced to enter or even buy some coffee due to pretty basic packaging of the coffee selection they have. But the greatest thing in this specialty world of coffee is that we are not here because of the form or presentation, we are here because of the experience and sharing the experience. And the owner and his son were on top of the mission! I entered the place, I have noticed that they were in the middle of the coffee cupping and after a couple of sentences we exchanged, the owner called me to join them! I had a chance to see how different roasting profiles could affect the flavor of the same coffee bean, and what I loved is that my experience so far brought me to the specific sense for the flavors and both of us were giving the same comments about different profiles. Besides cupping, I tried espresso from Peru, which was really nice, I would say “an easy everyday coffee”, and in overall this amazing experience was one of the highlights from my trip.
