This may have been the best meal I’ve ever eaten. Went here on a last minute date night and everything was amazing. The takoyaki in particular was incredible, can’t recommend enough. Servers was also so lovely overall a lovely experience Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: A$20–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Sushi, Takoyaki, Tempura, Miso Soup

The booking I made for the day unfortunately had a mixup and I wasn’t booked in for the right day but the waitress fixed it and managed to give us a booth which was a relief. Food wise, was good, the springs rolls were tiny and very expensive for the amount that was served. Won’t be ordering this anymore. The crockets were ok but nothing special. The boat sushi And sashimi were the highlight but I must say it is very overpriced. For the whole boat as shown in the photos it costs $75. Overall food is good, atmosphere is vibrant and staffs are attentive however the prices are over inflated in my opinion. As someone who consistently seeks new flavours, experiences and techniques, Chiba Japanese restaurant has again proven its longevity after I've returned for yet another of its simply and expertly executed meals. The decor is modern and the furnishings clean, with finesse that is uniquely Japanese, setting the tone for the meals that rapidly flow from the kitchen. Fresh & traditional dishes are served by polite wait staff who weave through the often fully booked restaurant efficiently and professionally. All levels of flavour preferences can easily be met; you will often see children with their parents at the first dinner sitting, and popular Western favourites like hand rolls and teriyaki chicken also grace the menu. This however, is not what should be expected as the standard from Chiba, as they offer dishes for a more refined palette like takaki beef and octopus sashimi. Comfortable, impeccable and very reasonably priced, Chiba Japanese restaurant never disappoints.
