My visit to the Chin Thai restaurant in Mössingen left me with an ambivalent impression, which I would like to share fairly and in detail. The staff seems a bit distant at first glance, doesn't speak much, but is attentive when clearing the table, especially when empty plates accumulate from the all-you-can-eat buffet. This ensures a certain level of efficiency, even if communication with staff is perceived as rather reserved. The all-you-can-eat buffet, which includes food and drinks for €20, initially promises a generous selection. Unfortunately, the quality of the food did not meet my expectations. At a price of €20 per person for the buffet, you certainly shouldn't expect any culinary highlights, but the quality should still remain reasonable. Unfortunately this is not the case. Only the freshly prepared fish, which you can grill or have prepared by the chef at your own discretion, stands out from the other dishes. However, this fish is also frozen, which puts the freshness into perspective somewhat. All other dishes seem like they were mass produced and not prepared in-house. It seems as if savings are being made in many areas, which is also reflected in the poor quality of the food. A particularly disappointing experience was the discovery of scales in the sushi and the observation of the grill master hanging over the hot plate, blowing his nose and snotting around. This is absolutely unappetizing and does nothing to create a pleasant atmosphere in the restaurant. Another point of criticism concerns the honey that is served with the fried sweet dishes. This appears to be diluted with water, which affects the quality of the sweet dishes. Overall, I am horrified by my visit to the Chin Thai restaurant in Mössingen and unfortunately I cannot give a positive review. The poor quality of the food, the unsavory observations in the kitchen and the cost-cutting measures significantly cloud the overall picture. Therefore, I only give it 1 out of 5 stars and advise potential guests to adjust their expectations accordingly. Parking: There are parking spaces around the Delicasa.
