The absolute go to place for seafood for cooks! Great and friendly service. Wide variety and fresher than you could ever think possible in the middle of the continent.

Have come here a number of times for sushi grade fish and fresh seafood in general. They are excellent on that front. But this was my first time eating here and wow was I missing out. If you're looking for fish tacos in the area,(and maybe anywhere in MSP) come here. In the winter seating is extremely limited, but their patio is beautiful in the summer. Staff was super inviting and clearly took pride in their work. As they should - this place is an institution.

How can I shout out how great it was finding Coastal Seafoods? The selection of available market items could have my culinary head spinning; yet, hubby and I came there for a late lunch after his 'stress tests' at the hospital. Being originally from the mid-Atlantic Dan had the soft shell crab sandwich. It was loaded with crab meat and looked awesome for a hungry man. My choice was along the lines of a starter, so I ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp. Heavenly!!! The shrimp were very large, meaty, tender, fresh and full of flavor. I could eat 4 plus a bite, so hubby wasted no time devouring the balance. So good that I bought meaty cooked shrimp from the market to take home. Limited seating, so we shared a table with 2 gents (one if whom shared ideas for this newcomer of other finds to try out).
