A must visit fish-restaurant in FlushingN51°26'27.4" E3°34'29.1" Restaurant "De Vissershaven Vlissingen" is located on the quay of the marina of Flushing in a monumental corner building. The interior is modern, sleek, sober and tastefully decorated. Not a typical tourist restaurant, but a restaurant where local people also like to come. Almost all the tables were occupied.In August 2018, we ordered fried cod and sea bass. Both fish dishes were super-fresh and very well baked: not fat but crispy. The taste and texture, combined with glasswort and sea lavender was very good. This chef can prepare fish, as we had heard from local people earlier that day. We ordered a bottle of chilled red wine, which was of excellent quality. For dessert we ordered "Death by Chocolat", consisting of several chocolate desserts (mousse, ice cream, hot brownie straight from the oven) on one plate. As the name suggests, it is a nutritious dessert. Very good and delicious.The owner regularly asked if everything was all right and said that the dessert needed more time in the oven. Very thoughtful. A young girl who was clearly still inexperienced and insecure served us. The owner kept an eye on us. The price-quality ratio was good for this somewhat modest restaurant. If you are in Flushing and want to eat fish, this restaurant is definitely a must-visit!
