We loved our visit to Dragonwell Bistro. The woman who waits the tables reminded me of my mom, she was so kind and gracious. It is very modern decor with crisp white tablecloths. They have a full bar and drink specials during happy hour. You can tell someone poured their heart into this place. On a Friday night visit, it was cold December weather and pouring down rain. We came at 6pm before a show and we were the only table the whole time and I didn't see anyone running out orders to go. It really made me sad because the food here is a higher level of typical Chinese food. We ordered vegetarian spring rolls, Twin Kung Pao chicken and combo lo-mein. The lo-mein was to die for- the meat was grilled and then added to the noodle dish with giant prawns, beef and chicken with fresh house made egg noodles. The Twin Kung Pao had a delectable sauce that elevated Kung Pao to a whole new level- not generic brown sauce that is so commonplace but lovingly prepared spicy sauce with chili flakes. It reminded me of the Kung Pao at Wong's King on the east side before they closed for good- and that place was gourmet with many restaurant awards and a well-known head chef. Please give this place a try- we had an excellent meal.
