A very, very nice hotel from the outside and exactly the same from the inside! The location is simply perfect for getting anywhere. Our room was just beautiful and very clean and you immediately felt comfortable. Staff was very friendly! Breakfast was really delicious, the buffet was very sweet and attractively designed, it was easy to find something for everyone and it was always refilled! Overall it was a wonderful stay, I'll definitely come back again!️ Rooms: The rooms are very spacious, beautifully designed, the colors are very harmonious and very clean. Nearby activities: You can get to the outet center very quickly but also into the city with its beautiful streets and there are also a few restaurants! Walkability: You can reach everything that is important on foot in 5 to 10 minutes, so it's very relaxed. Food & drinks: The breakfast was sweet and savory, very tasty and was always refilled straight away. We stayed at the Hotel Dux for six days in the first week of July. The choice of this hotel was made on the basis of a recommendation. The arrival was fine, we would have liked information about the parking situation beforehand. When asked, we opted for the nearby underground car park three minutes' walk from the hotel for €10 a day. But we couldn't use this at first, since we haven't checked in yet. So we initially parked in the very narrow multi-storey car park at the Jumbo. As a good driver who can assess his car very well, no problem. Not even with a station wagon, but you should consider driving in there with larger cars. Another parking possibility would have been directly under the hotel for €25 per day, but this was too expensive for us. About the staff: The staff was very friendly and understood both German and English and took the time to help us even with language barriers. We were received very nicely. The hotel: The hotel is very well located and you can reach the beautiful market square, as well as the popular outlet or various restaurants and a small harbor in a few minutes' walk. About the rooms: We stayed in an executive double room on the second floor. The room was very modern and luxuriously furnished and even had a small balcony. Unfortunately, the view wasn't that great, but that wasn't a detriment. We would have wished for at least a chair and an ashtray on the balcony. In addition, the room had a minibar and a coffee corner, which were refilled daily. The bed was comfortable and big. The bathroom was also nicely furnished and had a large bathtub and two sinks in addition to your shower cubicle with rain shower. The toilet was also separate. There were products from Rituals for care. The big drawback here was the frosted glass doors, since at night you were either woken up by the light or the flushing of the toilet. Modern or not, but whoever came up with it didn't think far. Regarding cleanliness in the room: We're not looking for dirt, but when we entered the room we noticed a 40 cm long spider's web that had probably been hanging there for a long time. We didn't find it bad, but it shouldn't happen. Unfortunately, by chance we also discovered a large yellow stain on the mattress. We feared urine as this stain must have been caused by a liquid. The balcony was still covered in ash and a few cigarette butts from the previous guests, so barefoot on the balcony was not possible. The towels were also changed daily, but unfortunately there were often some with large holes in them. The bathrobes that were provided also had large holes. It can happen, but especially in a luxury hotel and given the frequency, it's a no-go. Overall, apart from the points previously listed, the cleaning was fine, not clinically clean, but we're not fussy either. For breakfast: Breakfast was included in our price. It was manageable but sufficient. However, we would have liked more selection of sliced cheese and fruit. The buffet was delicious throughout. Hot drinks were brought to the table. Unfortunately there were ants on the desserts/pastries and sometimes also in the pastries. It can happen, but it should definitely be treated. The buffet was constantly in view of the staff and was refilled in good time. As a final assessment, we can state that it was a nice stay. Everyone has to decide for themselves whether it's worth the money. But we would come back and thank you for the pleasant stay. Rooms: 3 Service: 4 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Luxury, Quiet
