Cozy spot for authentic Japanese food that's worth the wait! I recommend ordering off the "Today's Specials" menu.
Beautiful and delicious little hidden gem. The oboro tofu is stunning.
I've eaten at Eiji numerous times, without leaving a review, so today is the day! I personally love Eiji. It has a very homestyle type of menu, where I order a few nigiri, a few specials, a kitchen item and of course, the strawberry mochi for dessert. Yes, they do have a 4% surcharge if you use credit cards, and it should not be a shock because it's written everywhere. I understand why they do it, it's a small restaurant, they have multiple servers, so that you get great service every time, and well, they don't have to accept credit cards, but they do (and there are many places that don't). To appreciate Eiji, is knowing you are going to a Japanese restaurant, run by Japanese people. Yes, they don't want you to be on your phone or watch videos. It's considered rude in other parts of the world. Yes, they don't want you to sit and chat for hours, when you are finished eating. How about you think of the other people waiting for that table (again, it's a small place), and for the restaurant's bottom line. The longer you sit there 'chatting', the less food they are serving. The food is always fresh, the sushi delicious, and I keep going back for a reason. PS: Don't forget the dessert!
