We booked a birthday meal for 5 of us. Having checked the website it states very clearly “service charge add for groups of 6 or more”. Which I can see now they have changed that information. The food was adequate and the service was standard. The table wasn’t set up for 5 people although a phone call confirmed the number in the day. So my partner was perched at the end. We had to ask for cutlery because the table was not laid. Some staff could have been better with customer service. The bill came and service charged was added. I questioned this and was told “it’s mandatory and I have no option to pay”. I didn’t want to cause a fuss there and then so paid it. But on the way out told the manager they need to review their website as the information is correct. The amount of service charge was a lot compared to the service given and number of people in my party. The manager/owner admitted that the website was incorrect but there was nothing they could do because of staff running the restaurant. This will put me off going again to The Every day Thai. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £20–30 Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3
