Great place for that Chinatown feel ESPECIALLY during the lunar new year parade! Fun times tho during regular days and hours they'll be out of food alot

Great food, great service, great price, great quality, honestly it's a really good place. It's my favorite Chinese bakery in Chicago. It has breakfast, brunch, snacks and only takeout and most items don't contain meats or nuts. Also it opens early and closes late. I can see why people are not into this place. If you're looking for a cute bakery to sit in and have a pastry and take a nice picture for instagram, this isn't the place for you. The service can be curt (especially if there is a language barrier), and you can tell this place has been here forever and hasn't changed much. But it has delicious baked good for so, so cheap. Unlike other bakeries that have updated their interiors and increased their prices accordingly, Feida Bakery has stayed inexpensive and unassuming. The actual bakery area is quite small, but they have a wide array of baked goods that change daily (the best, freshest selection will obviously be there for you the earlier in the day you go), but they also have a seating area in the back. As a kid I always loved their light, fluffy cakes, but their walnut bars, sponge cakes, pork buns, and egg tarts are always favorites for me. One of my favorite things about this place is that I can always try new things here because of how cheap things are. I hope this place stays open for a long time!
