Este restaurante te ofrece estupendos platos de la cocina alemana. Los cocineros de Gerbermühle se esfuerzan al máximo para dar a sus visitantes una generosa salchicha fráncfort, un sabroso filete y un perfectamente elaborado filete empanado. No te quedes sin comer sus delicados kaiserschmarrn, sus bien preparados crepes o su singular créme brûlée. En este lugar se sirve un magnífico café espresso. La cerveza de este lugar no es muy del agrado de sus usuarios.

Vas a llevarte un buen recuerdo de este restaurante, puesto que es famoso por su gran servicio y su amable personal, siempre dispuesto a ayudar. Te van a gustar sus precios adecuados. I was a guest at the Gerbermühle as an individual on October 1st, 2023 at around 5:30 p.m. A head waiter greeted me with the words: "If you want to eat here, then only inside" in a tone that reminded me of my time in the army. This unhospitable manner of addressing me really irritated me because, on the one hand, I hadn't asked for a table outside at all, and on the other hand, I had seen as I walked past that there were still free tables on the terrace. Against this background, it was incomprehensible to me why I was not offered a table outside on a sunny day with warm temperatures without justification. Instead, I was seated inside the restaurant in a dark room where I was the only customer. Since I was hungry, I accepted this unflattering placement at a cat table in the corner. Unfortunately, the remote location of my table meant that the service staff almost completely forgot about me and no longer paid any attention to me from around 6.30 p.m., when the restaurant was noticeably filling up for the evening business. I waited more than 15 minutes for my plate to be cleared from the main course, even though there was a station in the immediate vicinity and within sight of my table where a head waitress and a head waiter were regularly present. When the head waiter at some point decided to clear my plate, I expressed to him my dissatisfaction with the service, especially in view of the restaurant's extremely high price level; after all, my bill was for a simple chanterelle cream soup, a simple onion roast with spaetzle and a small salad and two non-alcoholic wheat beers from the bottle for an impressive 61 euros. The head waiter neither expressed understanding for my criticism nor apologized, instead he gave me a succinct answer with a bitter smile on his face, pointing out that his colleague who was responsible for my table had probably not seen me. That was obviously true, but I expect the management staff of an upscale restaurant like the Gerbermühle to pay attention commensurate with the price level. Instead, I was placed as an individual in the back corner of the bar and then ignored. The quality of the food was excellent, and I would actually have liked to have dessert, but I lost interest because of what was described. Unfortunately, the tone and content of the conversation with the head waiter was not suitable to revive my desire for dessert. After my complaint, the head waiter offered me a café, but it remained unclear whether he wanted to invite me to this café to compensate for the delay in service or whether the drink would have been charged as normal. I had also previously told the head waiter that I actually wanted a Kaiserschmarrn for dessert. He therefore knew what he could have offered me, but instead suggesting a drink that I hadn't asked for is, in my opinion, an extremely unprofessional way for a head waiter to deal with a guest complaint. Contrary to my usual habit, I didn't give a tip. As a single guest at the Gerbermühle, I did not feel well served and got the impression that I was not welcome as a single guest at the Gerbermühle. The point I gave anyway is solely due to the excellent quality of the food and the very generous portions. I don't live in Frankfurt, but I'm in the city regularly for professional reasons. I won't bother the Gerbermühle restaurant again with my presence, but will try one of the other excursion restaurants in the area the next time I'm in Frankfurt.
