Nice restaurant in a fancy, minimalist hotel.  When you wait for your table, you sit on couches that give you a pretty good view of the singer performing for the diners.  When we were seated we were greeted by a really cool server named Billy.  He was very friendly and helped us get our food in a timely manner. Sis got the steamed fish and I got the rib eye steak.  The rib eye was the better of the two, all buttery and served with asparagus. The best thing we ate was the hoisin ribs.  Would order two of those next time because that sauce... While we were there a family sitting next to us had a daughter who had a meltdown.  I think she was going into anaphalactic shock, but Sis was watching her and thinks she just was having a psychotic episode and looked at that chick disapprovingly as the staff pushed tables and chairs aside so the girl could lie down.  The family screamed and begged for the restaurant to call for an ambulance, but it wasn't fast enough for them.  Hey lady, there's a phone in your hand.  911 works the same way on your cell phone in Hawaii. By the time we left the restaurant, that family was in the ambulance and the EMT's didn't look like they were in any rush, so who knows. Billy did a great job trying to distract us from that mess, giving us travel tips and telling us which local places we should visit.  Would love to come back and make a reservation for earlier because we came too late to watch the hula dancing.  Still, we did get a show, lol.

Upon being seated, you are given ice water and a basket of Taro Rolls with butter. The rolls were lackluster in taste and did not even come out hot and fresh ): I asked what the most filling thing on the menu was since all the dishes looked small in other Yelp and the waiter obviously said the most expensive items which was the Catch Of The Day and the Steak as shown in the picture. Personally, the catch of the day (marlin) was not impressive and the pizza was pretty standard. The steak tasted pretty good, but it was super salty.. The purple squash it came with helped neutralize it. As for the service, I came with my family and the aunties and uncles had their own table while the younger folks had our own. The service for the adult table was pretty fast but considerably slow for ours. The saving grace for the experience was definitely the drinks from the bar and the ambiance. I had a Mai Tai, and a friend got the Table 97. Appropriate ratio of alcohol and tasty flavors. The live band was a nice touch to the view of the beach. Overall, if you want a tasty, filling meal that won't break the bank. This isn't the place. Drinks are $22 and appetizers are $25. Entrees are upwards of $40. You're mostly paying for the atmosphere and ambiance here.
