El menú dirigido con el maridaje fue impecable en cuanto a calidad y servicio. Un solo maridaje no me pareció el más apropiado pero lo demás excelente
Came here mainly due to curiosity and since I was meeting someone who seem like a food lover himself, I trusted his choice! FYI - A la carte menu is mainly at the bar. This review is for the Seasonal Tasting menu (Late Autumn/ early Winter). We started off with banchan, where each small plates was unique on its own. My favorites were the oyster and the steamed egg in a shell. For the tasting, I went for the urchin ($10 supplement) and lobster. Urchin melts in your mouth and is served with quinoa. The lobster was decorated with floral herbs and spices was also delicious, cooked just right. I believe I had the black cod that was served with red pepper soy. I'd have to say this might by my least favorite of the dishes. Perhaps it was the sauce that didn't go well with my palate. However, the Iberico pork was divine, and cooked perfectly to highlight the seasoning and texture of the dish. To end the evening of the dishes, a pear palate cleanser was introduced as the beginning of desserts, For dessert, I went for the brown rice choux that was served with tiny scoops of ice-cream and it was unbelievable delicious! It was unique and had a lovely warm flavor. At the very end of the meal, three mini pastries were also served. Service overall was phenomenal - table was kept clean and you were informed. If you have a food allergy, the waiter/waitress is very keen on making sure you're provided an alternative. My friend is a vegetarian and he was also provided a wonderful vegetarian course. This place is perfect for long dinner talks, special occasions, and/or a foodie's excuse to explore great food.
This is several months late review. Came here with my husband to celebrate our belated anniversary. We usually tend not to go to a lot of korean restaurants, but jungsik is different. It is Korean-French fusion with very classy ambiance. We came here with a high expectation, and all their entrees exceeded our expectation. The plantings were really cute and detailed, but it even tasted better. The uni with rice was my favorite dish and the truffle cone at the end was heavenly. Not to mention that the service was also at the top. we had different servers come by and explain and answer our questions.
