Last week, I have reserved a table here for my dad’s birthday and the upcoming father’s day! (He loves sushi and Japanese food so much!), and overall he and I feel really happy and satisfied I have ordered a sushi set lunch for myself including appetisers, soup, 9 sushi and a mini donburi. My personal favourite of the day is the fatty tuna belly sushi and sea urchin sushi, the tuna is melt in my mouth and tastes very rich! And the sea urchin is very sweet and creamy. One word: Delicious!!!My dad also ordered a sashimi platter, including 7 kinds of sashimi, all of them are seasonal, fresh and tasty. He likes sea urchin also, and he likes the shrimp which is tender and super fresh! We love that night dinner, the environment, services and the food are great! The sushi chef have spent time to showcase his skills and introduce the and seafood info to us, educate us which for me is the most important part and a good way to show how prof. they are!

There are sooo many Japanese omakases in HK, but none of them can give me the full A,B,C,D,E except Kishoku in Yiu Wah Street, Causeway Bay. A - Ambience. You walk into Kishoku and immediately you feel relaxed, happy, and excited for the meal you are about to have in this warmly lit restaurant, with the beautiful wooden counter top overlooking the chefs hard at work for your meal.B - Best. I have not had anything here that is not of the best quality or the freshest of seasonality. C - Cost. HK japanese are getting ridiculously expensive, but Kishoku's price has stayed pretty much the same, even when they offer very special sets such 7 Steps to Heaven featuring 7 different toro cuts!D - Diversity. Besides the usual favourites, Kishoku chefs always manage to surprise me with their creativity, in sourcing different fish or seafoods, or in cooking method or presentation. I am always presented with something creative or new everytime!E - Exceptional. In service, in knowledge of seafood and remembering clients preferences, everytime I go go to Kishoku I just let chef decide whatever he wants to serve me, as that is the true essense of Omakase!Sorry I rambled on! So you can see why I highly recommend Kishoku to all Japanese food lovers!
