I've been going to Knigge for years because the cake/tarts are very tasty. But the service in this cafe leaves something to be desired. It's better to get your order at the counter on Sundays (it's always full) and eat at home, as the café obviously doesn't serve you or only serves you after hours. The operation works at a speed that is not appropriate when the store is full and there is a rush. Complete incompetence. In the end the desired cake was bought away. I had an improvised breakfast here to bridge the waiting time. There was a classic French breakfast, Hawaiian toast, coffee and hot chocolate. You might think you have to pay an extra premium for the name “Knigge”, but compared to other bakery chains the prices are justified. The food was freshly prepared, the croissant and baguette were crispy, airy and tasty - not a dry chunk like elsewhere. The Hawaiian toast was hot, gratinated with lots of cheese and lovingly prepared. Anyway, there is a large selection of small and large dishes - sweet and salty. Coffee and cocoa met expectations - fresh cream to spoon into the cocoa is even a plus point. The service was friendly and accommodating. On Friday lunchtime the café was not very busy - only the local neighborhood group met. The furnishings are very comfortable, there are also a few separate, even cozier seating areas. If the next waiting time has to be bridged in the afternoon, the cake and tarts will be tried out. Service: Dine in Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: €10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I bought 5 packs of cookies or dominoes for just under 70 euros. Every cent was too much. Never had such bad pastries before. Every pastry from the discounter tastes better to us. After tasting, we threw everything away. Price per person: €60–70 Food: 1 Service: 1
