Ten minutes drive from Tubingen the Landhotel Hirsch is well worth the stay rather than options available in the town. You can enjoy Tubingen in just a few minutes by car or fifteen minutes cycling and yet stay in an environment that is protected and preserved in it’s natural form. The staff are great and one can see this is a very well run hotel with a great restaurant offering a quality next to none within the region. Walkability: Amazing nature walking paths around the hotel. Food & drinks: The restaurant offers an excellent small menu that is well thought out and the staff are flexible and eager to meet the needs of the guests. There are specials on the menu for the week and also a daily special was offered. They’re ample of fish choice and a starter with four different fresh fish for tasting or sharing. The steak is a MUST have dish. It’s perfectly cooked each time, tender and juicy with the right amount of fat and nicely cooked and crunch greens. It’s probably one of the best steaks I’ve had, not only in Germany but anywhere. The rhubarb and strawberry dessert with cream is as fresh as it gets with the perfect balance of sour and sweetness.
