Looking for flavor left wanting more. Fellow maps peeps. These reviews are written to inform and provide a perspective that’s unbiased and direct. My partner and I had a crazy craving for some Korean fried chicken and on our way to a known spot we love we passed by this restaurant and saw that it looked really nice and organized, there was a huge sign that advertised an all you can eat but we just wanted that Korean fried chicken. We decided to try it out. We parked and were greeted by a kind hostess who sat us down in these really long wooden benches that are oddly very comfy and southern looking. The atmosphere of this place is proper. Clean, spacious and it has a southern touch that you don’t see in a lot of joints in the city. After we sat down we ordered a drink on HH got ourselves a margarita to share as we were not interested in drinking but decided to give the menu a try. Margarita was so strong and one dimensional, felt like there was only tequila and lime juice that we had a few sips and left it on the side. We ordered the avocado salad to start, the kimchi fried rice and a 10 piece drums & thighs. The avocado salad was fresh and delicious The kimchi fried rice hit the spot while we patiently waited for the main star (fried chicken) We had high expectations and when the chicken arrived we noticed that yes it was cooked to perfection. BUT the batter and the chicken itself was so plain. It had no flavor whatsoever. Idk what happened when the chef was making the mixture but it lacked absolutely everything even a bit of salt would’ve saved the perfectly fried chicken. The meat had no flavor even a quick brine would’ve been helpful. I think the place is relying too much on their tossed sauces that the batter just doesn’t receive love. Please guys don’t let this place go to waste. Try the food before sending it out to your guests. Mad for Chicken Everyone loves chicken and when I heard about this place opening in Sunnyside, Queens, I was pretty excited to try it out. I have visited four times and each time it has not fail to impress me. The staff is very friendly and everyone, is being safe with COVID-19 protocols in place. If you are up for a wing night, check this place out and don't forget to order a half and half order to try out their spicy and soy garlic wings/drumsticks. The kimchi fries are delicious and a must order if you like kimchi. The fries are crispy and fresh to order. Another, favorite is the fried dumplings so delicious and if you love spicy food like me. This will hit the spot. Don't forget to order their Strawberry beer which is only sold at their Queens location.
