No solo hay que visitar Chapel of An Icon of the Mother of God of the Burning Bush, también Nihon.

Dear lovers of fine Japanese cuisine! Sit down in front of me comfortably on the tatami (as far as the word “comfort” can be applied to our Slavic customs, and our posture, strengthened on soft chairs and other high furniture, rather than on hard reeds that do not even provide support for the waist), and listen to my chatty, and in places maybe a little humorous, but, I am ready to assure you with a respectful bow, a very instructive story of visiting this establishment. One fine warm evening, a small company of four people - the narrator’s wife, the birthday girl, her slightly bored boa, as well as your humble servant, decided to visit one of these ancient Japanese establishments in the Ryazan district, with the name “Nihon”, which is unusually ticklish for Russian ears. About this point, at least, respectful rumors circulated along the central city streets, as about a place, a brand of quality food and attentiveness to the reception of respected guests in which they had been cherishing for decades, and could guarantee the same height of their level, regardless of the season, when a certain, average warehouse and prosperity, the gentleman decided to fill his belly alone or, what a darling, dine with his suspicious passion, often the owner of crimson cheeks - but not because of shame, but because of the anticipation of unforgettable taste sensations from fish that had traveled on various transports across the ocean to your small Russian town, and who finds herself on the board of a skilled chef, trained to humbly introduce her gentleman and herself to the Eastern culture. Your narrator chose simple rolls and a bowl of shrimp salad, which he languidly consumed while he idly listened to the conversations of his companions, less tired from the day. The salad seemed seasoned with disgustingly stale oil, and the rolls seemed nauseating and as if thrown together in a hurry, which was unusual for old memories, because the narrator had already dared to appear as a guest at the table of this place more than once before. The walk around the city that followed the meal in the same company gave rise to something wrong and inexplicable in the head of the owner of the story - a feeling of impending embarrassment or danger, but of a different kind - by no means a sudden fear of the larger surrounding world order and the intricacies of the paths of his zodiac, in his own turn influencing the habits of the inhabitants of this very world order... but the fear of foreboding danger emanating from the narrator’s modest body, which by that time was already beginning to show signs of weakness both in the legs and in, generously excuse me, the very lower part of the belly. As the walk progressed, the feeling of awkwardness, just like the physical urges, grew, kaleidoscopically taking away the last traces of clarity of mind. While the hero’s legs automatically carried him towards any establishment with a restroom, his veiled eyes and thoughts ran through the neighboring bushes and nooks in search of dernier recours. - “Mes amis, plus vite que ça! N’importe quelle serviette m’aiderait! I beg you...” - the remnants of the inflamed mind ordered to let out the last half-growl breath, noticing nearby a quite deep vertical box, inside of which one could see the boarded-up window of a basement closet , but the subsequent dawning realization that, it turns out, there are still these forces, this zeal to hobble to the drinking point with the water closet, without disgracing the street place, emitted a second desperate roar: - "Let's run, mes amis, il y à de l'espoir!" And the hero directed his loins towards the nearest point, which turned out to be the well-known “Pavlov’s Dog”, which daily celebrates the works of this same scientist, who dedicated his short life to the smaller brothers and their deviations when eating. Stories do not have subjunctive moods, so you and I cannot know what would have happened if such a place had not been found in the area. But what I definitely declare, and affirm without any compassion and a shadow of a doubt, is that in the most lousy establishment called “Nihon”, not one of the highest ranks and not a single one of the souls belonging to it, and standing on the account of the possessions of the respected , won’t stick his nose in anymore!
