The portions are HUGE amd nobody will leave hungry. I suggest ordering the smaller portion sandwiches and/or souvlaki, unless you plan to split it with one or two other people. The wait staff are friendly efficient and professional with an eye to detail. Directly outside the door is ample free parking! Ample enough too accommodate everyone, even during the lunch/supper rush.
The biggest sandwiches that you will have a hard time finishing. The reuben is great! Well priced considering the portion sizes... leftovers for days!!!
Peter's On Eglinton is located near the north east corner of Eglinton and Tomken Road. Peter's really is an old school place.  I say old school because it feels old school.  It sort of feels like a sunnier, brighter Cheesecake Factory but also kind of how Ed Mirvish's prime rib house was like decades ago on King Street West before it closed.  Try to remember this is sort of on a commercial/industrial stretch along Eglinton well west of the airport and Matheson / Airport corporate offices.  This place has been around well before the area of Eglinton has been built up to what it is today.  Behind the restaurant where there's plenty of parking is also a tributary of the Etobicoke Creek so the back is a bit of a swamp.  Still, there's a lot of parking and this place needs it because it really seems like a busy place. So now that I've gone on for how this place has been around and how they are busy it's more than obvious that this place has a following being in such an inconspicuous place.  Sure Eglinton is a busy street but this place wouldn't last long if it wasn't as popular as it is and their popularity is well deserved.  So many times I've seen other restaurants change their models, policies or service.  This place doesn't seem to compromise what they were before versus what they are now.  Have prices increased?  Sure, things are more now than before but quantity and quality in my opinion have stayed consistent to a tee.  I'd rather have a place adjust their menu prices than try to keep prices the same and try to adapt away from what they're known for.  Astoria comes to mind.  That's a Greek place that used to be THE Greek place.  The Danforth location was famous and I look at them today and they're (and their other locations) are a shell of what they were once known for. To put things into perspective, Peter's has maintained their model, their consistency and their service even if their prices are slightly higher over say the past couple decades.  I'd prefer that all the way versus trying to skimp or nickel and dime customers and lowering expectations with quality, quantity and service.   My wife and I arrived on a Saturday evening looking for a change of pace.  I knew that we haven't been to Peter's in ages and I knew they had some choices.  I was either going to go with a tall smoked meat sandwich or the souvlaki.  Now they only have pork souvlaki and no beef, lamb or chicken version but they do have chicken brochette.  I had gone with the normal size pork souvlaki (as opposed to small) which in reality is 2 skewers and not just one.  So to put things into dimensions try imagining a 2 x 2 inch cube of pork.  Now multiply that by 10.  So if each individual cube is 8 cubic inches, 10 pieces would be 80 cubic inches of JUST meat.  Also add in an entire large roasted potato, a Greek salad and all the meat resting on top of a bed of rice.  If you've been to Zet's near the airport you'd know that's a big meal.  I can sometimes finish that.  There was no way I was going to finish this platter.  I was defeated the minute it was laid down in front of me.   OK fine, this serving is enough to feed a family granted but this is not just about bulk and size.  The meat was very juicy and not overcooked and dry.  Keep in mind this is PORK and not another meat like lamb or beef that can be served a bit on the red side.  This was thoroughly cooked huge chunks of pork and they were absolutely juicy, mouthwatering, divine.  By this dish alone much can be said about how Peter's has carried on the long tradition of their product and why their dining room is so packed. My wife's order was a club sandwich.  She wanted something in the chicken or turkey but she doesn't like deli turkey.  We had asked our server about the club and the server stressed that this was carved turkey breast and not deli meat.  The sandwich came stacked.  I'd say about three quarters of a centimeter slices of turkey breast stacked perhaps 5 slices high.  This was a thick, solid sandwich with that generous amount of turkey breast making the bulk of the sandwich as well as nicely cooked bacon as well.   I really like the quality and value one gets at Peter's.  The souvlaki dinner is 30 dollars but in reality the full size order (2 whole large skewers) is a LOT of food.  A small order is a single skewer for 20 bucks while the full order is 30.  This is a lot of food for the full size.  It's enough for 2 grown hungry adults to split or in my case order and take home the other half for later.  While there's beyond generous portions being served at Peter's, the price and value is very much in line with the quality, ambiance and service and that is why this place is packed and why it's still serving central Mississauga for all these years. Thank you Peter's for being the epitome of consistency and value after all these years.
