Got a vanilla milkshake from this place, it was okay, kinda watery, and had a piece of rice what it seemed like? Def wasn't from me, didn't eat anything from the day before or this morning. Milkshake had a weird consistency, slimy at some points and then also alittle watery. For 7.50 it was okay, size of the milkshake def didn't fit the price nor did the quality.
Finally broke down today after smelling the smoker as I came out of Home Depot and ordered a plate. But, I was not impressed, not even in the slightest. They genuinely screwed up every item. First things first, the price. $27.96 for a pulled pork sandwich, corn, beans, and a drink. I about had a heart attack when he gave me the total. It's a one man show too with no actual table-side service, just a bench where people hangout while waiting on their order. But, they still ask for tips. Best part, I was still hungry afterwards. For that price, I should have been full with leftovers. Second, the pulled pork comes with "coleslaw" on top. No one asked, or told me either. The pork was super mushy and kind of tasteless on its own, and the coleslaw had mustard in it. Seriously, mustard in slaw? The garlic in the corn was overpowering, not to mention the fact that, it was just regular canned corn. The beans weren't even remotely close to "southern style" baked beans either. Southern style baked beans are made with red BBQ sauce and burnt pork ends, not the overpowering taste of cumin and allspice, and mushy, tasteless pulled pork. In fact, they even screwed up the tea. The tea came in a 12 oz. styrofoam cup full of ice, like a small coffee cup you get at a gas station, so there was only about 6 oz. of actual fluid. And, they used a peach mixer that tasted like peach schnapps without the alcohol. Horrible... If it wasn't for the uniquely edible beans and the smell I'd give this place 1 star. I will not be back.
