Dinner ramen cravings were on overdrive. It was a long night of errands and all we wanted was some comforting ramen to top off the day. While Yelp searching for a ramen restaurant, preferably one that we've never been to, I stumbled across Ramen Arashi. It was the perfect choice at the time because it was in the area where we were doing our errands. It's located along S. Fort Apache Rd and Peace Way in the Montage Shopping Center. We were haaaaannnngggrrryyyy by this point of the night so it was a relief to pull into the shopping center and find a plethora of parking spaces open. First thing that I would like to add and make known is that we happened to be THOSE customers. You know...the ones that walk in to dine in not long before the restaurant closes. I hate being THOSE ones but...hey, we were hungry and those review photos and their menu were hard to resist. Now with that being said, we walked in and were immediately greeted with enthusiasm. They graciously took us in and got our table ready for us. I did not get any vibe that we were being a burden coming in so late. The restaurant is quite small in size, almost like a hole in the wall, so it does seem a little bit tight in there. With the social distancing guidelines I could imagine that it was a bit of a struggle for this restaurant to try and make accommodations. Nonetheless, they made it work. Their menu is very basic. It's basically everything you'd expect to find in a ramen restaurant. However, I am very picky when it comes to the type of noodles that ramen restaurants use and the flavor of their broth. With that being said, the noodles met my standards and the broth was sooooooo delicious. The ramen noodles were so good, I stole some out of my daughter's bowl when she went to the restroom (I was hungry). Lol. We also ordered some curry rice and yummy yummy takoyaki. Takoyaki is ALWAYS a must as well. Aside from that, they manage to keep the restaurant in great shape and it's a very clean spot. No worrying about restaurant cleanliness here. I'll end this here but I definitely recommend Ramen Arashi. Here's a quick breakdown... Pros: -friendly/kind customer service -great menu -great pricing -lots of parking -clean and well maintained -DELICIOUS!!!! Cons: -restaurant is a tad bit small
So tonight my regular place was closed after driving all the way up to the Summerlin area so I decided to give this place a try and I was simply blown away the food blew my regular place out the water I will be getting my ramen from here going forward it's worth the drive from Henderson I wish I could provide a picture but I dig in to fast !! Excellent food and friendly service a win win !!
There are truly only 3-4 ramen places I frequently eat at that never disappoint. This was one of the ones I would go to if for some reason it was more convenient than my other favs. However today was probably the last time. The chashu pork slices in all three ramen were old tasting you know that stinky smell and taste when meat is old, we couldn't eat it. My tonkatsu ramen had not even half and egg and barely nothing in it, so plain. The shoyu ramen broth had almost an instant flavoring to it. For three ramen we spent $45. Not a bad price to pay for ramen if it is delicious. Buyer's remorse this time.
