Chebureki - Love in a pocket. Little by little I am exploring and enjoying the menu at Olesia's Taverne of Richfield. My new favorite is the Chebureki. These meat pies are filled with pork and beef, garlic and onion served with horseradish sauce and are a perfect way to start your evening. They are a crispy light pastry fried and filled with goodness. You can find them under appetizers and currently there are 3 to an order for $15. Pair them with a white sangria and you will not be disappointed. Seriously they come with a knife and fork, but you will want to pick them up and savor their tastiness. Huge shoutout to Olesia's Taverne of Richfield! They planned a bourbon and beer tasting event in which they ended up having to cancel (through no fault of their own). However, I had bought the tickets to the event for my husband for Christmas. The owners heard this and reached out to me directly to make other arrangements so I could still deliver on my Christmas gift. The thing is, they didn't have to do that. But they did. For Joe (the owner) to take the time to call me personally and work something else out meant the WORLD. And the food was EXCELLENT (I got the short rib crepes with roasted veggies and My husband got the beef stroganoff)! Olesia (the owner) came to chat with us for a while too. The owners are seriously so down to earth, kind, and super accommodating- go meet them! If you haven't been there, I encourage you to go! (They also have many to-go options as well). They even have a couple of the outdoor igloo things. But I highly recommend seeing the beauty of the renovations they have done inside which are just incredible Very clean, meticulous, and everyone was following proper Covid etiquette and guidelines. Support our small businesses- they need you!
