One can find better omakases in Japan, but this one is okay for HK. The ingredients felt fresh, but the fish wasn’t too too flavorful. The service was a little bit slow too, which was surprising since we ordered the set menu and made reservations. Okay for one time thing, but probably not to repeat.

Sushi Mori Tomoaki has a great reputation in Hong Kong. We got a last minute reservation and had a table rather being seated at the sushi bar. It was the same dishes and sushi as the omakase. The sushi was good. No question. But not great. It was not head and shoulders above the premium sushi restaurants in town. The sushi at the Caroline Hill Road Sushi Mori (namesake but no relationship) is easily as good if not better at a slightly lower price. Do try that one with an open mind to compare. HKD $2,200 per head.
