Went here for breakfast and it started off nice. I ordered waffles with a side of grits and the grits, I’ll say were amazing! But.. as I’m pouring syrup on my waffles I noticed that the syrup was watery and I especially noticed the loose fluid when my waffle turned into mush. That’s because the syrup bottle was mixed with water. My goodness what a fast turnaround from a good morning to a horrible one. My waitress was kind about it, but when she told the owner/manager.. whoever.. I heard him tell her to throw the syrup bottle away and then he followed it up with “loud laughter”. Not sure if it was directed towards us, but that’s beside the point. There wasn’t an apology, any type of explanation, nor a sign of care. I’ll end it with this , the food is good but the place is extremely unprofessional . I work very hard for my money and I refuse to spend, nor support a business that doesn’t put the costumer first. If you’re in the Matthews NC area just go to First Watch. They have great food and excellent customer service. Stay away from this place. Service: Dine in Meal type: Breakfast

I so love this new location for the Flying Biscuit Cafe. I've always enjoyed the food at these restaurants and this one is great for the Matthews celebrations! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
