I've been visiting regency club for over 10 years and have always recommended it to friends, family and colleagues as the place to go for good Indian food. Unfortunately last night will have changed that for me. We ordered our food which included 3 x methi chicken mains, but we received 3 x methi kheema chicken mains. I explained to our waiter that this isn't what we ordered and the response from the staff was to argue with me and explain this it is what I ordered. It's worth noting that in the 10 years plus that I've been attending the regency club I've always ordered methi chicken and never once ordered the kheema variant. The argument from the staff was that they had read the order back to me and not that they had misheard what I had ordered in the first place, so not willing to accept any of the responsibility for the error. The waiter left to speak with his manager and returned to tell me that I'd been summoned (the nerve) by the manager. The manager aggressively questioned me and argued that the waiter had read me the order, failing to acknowledge that the waiter had also misheard the order. Eventually the manager backed down and agreed to replace the mains we'd ordered, but you could see the anger upon his face and he completely failed to apologise for the mistake. This is not how you treat loyal customers who are spending large amounts of money with you and I can now see why I'm hearing more negative reviews within my social circle. BTW the food was very very good as always, but the service most definitely left a sour taste in the mouth!
