Did an online order and after waiting an hour and a half, I found out they haven’t even made the order. Absolutely waste of time and our night. Avoid online orders!

Strong chopstick proficiency advised. Ding Heen is a modest casual Chinese diner in Nottingham with 12 tables and 24 seats. The owner said that he does a lot of catering for the university, and takeaway is obviously an alternate style for dining.
The food is solid Cantonese cooking, and may be oriented towards those totally comfortable with authenticity over those who prefer modifications for western palates. I ordered the beef with radish (daikon) stew, which is a standard Cantonese dish that came in a metal bowl over a warming candle, as opposed to the traditional oven clay pot. The sauce was flavourful, the stewed meat tender, and the radish was soft but not mushy. My friend ordered prawns in curry sauce. I asked the waitress and owner for suggestions on how he might eat these -- I'm allergic to shrimp, and thus can't advise on technique -- and we were told that this is the traditional Chinese service with shell-on, handled with chopsticks. My British friend choose to take the shells off with his fingers -- not typically the Chinese way -- and got messy hands quite rapidly. The owner offered a wet naps and then a finger bowl. My friend said the curry was quite tasty, and eventually finished with the rice onto the plate of sauce.
The owner said that the restaurant had opened just last week, and had been a kebab place. The takeout menus are all in Chinese script, and there was only one copy of an English menu. I heard the owner speaking Cantonese to the cook, and Mandarin to the waitress. This is a restaurant just starting up. They don't have a credit card machine (at least not yet).
Still, this is a restaurant that will become a destination when I'm in Nottingham. The quality of cooking is high, the prices are moderate, and the service is earnest. We were dining on a Sunday at 4 p.m., as the only customers in the space. I won't be surprised to find people lined out the door on evenings when the nightlife is more active.
