Very disappointing. The oil smells as if it is much too old. Very unfortunate. Now I have to go all the way to Den Briel, where they can still fry fish.

Spijkenisse has one fish stall and it is located on the Akkers. A company run by super friendly people. And they stand for quality. This sometimes means that they are closed on hot days. Simply because it is too hot in their stall and they cannot guarantee the quality. That says something about a company. That they are willing to miss income because it is too hot. For themselves and their products. I've been coming here for years. Often for a pound of Kibbeling. (with which they have regularly won prizes. But also sometimes for delicious marinated prawns, salmon or tuna. The salads are also very tasty. I read in some reviews that people sometimes find the price too high. But that's just the way it is with fresh fish. Those prices fluctuate. Someone who is really familiar with fresh fish knows that. And of course it may well be that things sometimes disappoint. Then walk back immediately. Because then there is always a solution. Because they still really stand for quality. I have been using a Guru Ceramic barbecue for a number of years and everyone who works with these things knows that it is fun to try things with fish. Well then this fish stall is really the place to be. Then they think along with you and are also curious about the end result. So for me this is a really great fish stall/shop. Which, as far as I'm concerned, Spijkenisse can be proud of. (and no, I'm not related hahaha, and really just a satisfied customer.)

Yesterday I stood in front of the closed stall while the internet says it is open... very annoying that this happened...
