"authentic"? - I hope not Thai. We had meat dumpligs that happened to be chicken nuggets in some grease dough, soup with shrimp that tasted chlorine, and fried rice with pineapple from a can. Cold, inattentive stuff made it to one of the worst, small kitchen experiences in our area.
Delicious high quality food. Take out is great. Dining in: Atmosphere is clean and nice, humble but friendly, good service.
This place is 'aces' with me for the simple fact that is close to home (I could probably walk there if I weren't so lazy) and it's BYOB. I've eaten at Whoopi Thai a handful of times and grabbed take-out from there another handful of times. They never disappoint. They decor is modest, but tasteful (this is by no means a divey BYOB sort of establishment) and it's never overcrowded (I suspect they do a bigger take-out business rather than dine-in).  The staff is friendly and the service is very good. I typically order the drunken noodle or some sort of pad thai.  The piece de resistance, though, is the Tom Yung Goong, a hot and sour soup with shrimp and lemongrass.  I skipped that during my visit their last night as it's mid-July, and hot soup didn't seem too appealing. Last night, though, we did split an order of the spring rolls, and they were great as always.  She opted for Chicken Thai Red Curry, her go-to.  I went with the Chicken with Thai Basil Sauce.  It was tasty, but I found the portion to be a bit on the small side. This very minor issue aside, Whoopi Thai Cuisine is one of the better Asian eateries in a town that has become over-saturated with Asian restaurants. So if you're looking for a tasty meal that won't hurt the wallet, grab a bottle of your favorite wine, and go 'make Whoopi' your next destination for lunch or dinner!
