Lion City Cafe is BACK! All the info and menu are at lioncitycafe.com To everyone who used to love Lion City Cafe (former location at Parker/Custer) - they are now open at a new location. The owners were sadly forced to close the old location as a result of COVID lockdown, but are now operating on weekends, offering takeout. We picked some up yesterday, and the food is absolutely phenomenal, as good as ever. The prices are great too! If you've never eaten at the old location, you should give them a try anyway. They offer excellent, authentic Singaporean/Malaysian food - so, so good!

I'd been meaning to visit Lion City Chinese Cafe for a while now. After reading the reviews, I was prepared to serve myself and to pay in cash. Not sure if it just depends on how busy they are, but my friend and I received uncharacteristically amazing service and had the option to pay with credit card. Still a little unclear if we were supposed to seat ourselves... but despite the cafeteria vibes, order first and pay after. \\ hainanese chicken rice - the rice is amazingly infused with flavor - the chicken was so-so; dip it in the soy sauce soup \\ snow pea leaves + garlic - fresh, tasty, with good seasoning One day I'll come back and try some of their other offerings. Glad to have this well-established option for Singaporean cuisine in our Southern suburbia.
