Amazing foodstaff were great. Thank you to our server Soyeong and to Enhee who was so accommodating when I booked the wrong date. You are both amazing hosts. The food was delicious, flavour combinations were beautiful. Atmosphere was something I have never experienced before. The grill in the middle of the table was so cool. Friendly and quick service- i was alone so sadly couldnt get to order anything on the BBQ menu ( gets £££££ when alone) but the bibimbap option was a great meal. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: A$20–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

First time dining at this branch (we go to the Elizabeth St branch 1-2x a month). I have to say that the experience and food were definitely a step up. It helps that we were early so there wasn't much of a crowd yet - again hats off to the crew, as everyone who dropped by our table made sure to check on how we were going (if we wanted any refills) and even helped out (changed the grills, gave us tips on grilling, explained / described each side dish as it was put down on the table, turned the meat over for us when we were too busy stuffing our faces with food). Vibe is great - it's a newer spot and the lighting is better (brighter). Staff are really friendly and clearly know what they're doing (and very familiar with the food). I overheard one staff explaining the diff cuts of meat, and the pros and cons of each, making recommendations. Was very patient about it which I really appreciated. It is smaller than the Elizabeth St branch, but makes for a cozier, more intimate spot. I would recommend going to this spot for Date Night or eating with your parents - whereas Elizabeth St is better for big groups or drinking with friends. The banchan at Maru Grill House is miles above in taste and variety - so far the best we've had in brissy so far. Even for the greens, you're given a wide selection (perilla leaves, multiple lettuce varieties, even a lettuce salad with mayo). Price and Menu are pretty similar to the other branch. Maru has never been the cheapest place to eat at, but has always been good quality and a great experience for me. While I still love the original Maru, we're probably going to be visiting this branch for the foreseeable future. 5 stars for both the food and the staff - we'll be back soon!!
