Delicious pies and the staff are super friendly! We live 40mins away and it's been worth making the drive out. We have had the slow cooked wagyu beef red curry, caramelized pork belly, and steak jalapeno & cheese. I ordered a steak, jalapeño and cheese pie, carrot cake and a small flat white. The pie was delicious. The pastry was flaky and buttery. The filling had some good soft chunks of steak. There was a fair amount of jalapeño and the spiciness built up quite a bit so if you can’t tolerate spicy foods keep this in mind. I personally loved the spiciness and felt it was well balanced and not overpowering and imparted good flavour. I have previously had the potato top pie: It was one of the best I’ve ever had. Heaps of potato and savoury mince that spilled over when you had a bite. All the while the pastry bottom held its integrity allowing me to eat it by hand. Carrot cake was moist and absolutely divine. The icing was not too sweet but added a nice counterpart to the moist richness. I could taste the walnuts in the cake itself which added a nice flavour and texture to it as well. The small double shot flat white was exquisite. Not a lot of bakery’s do good coffee, so I was very happy to have a fantastic coffee too! Heaps of other options like rolls and sandwiches, which I’m dying to try. Definitely give it Richoux Patisserie a try, you won’t regret it.
