I still don't know why the store's name is Japanese. I don't know if it was a store that opened during a time when Japan was a powerful country, or if the owner was Japanese... Anyway, I really don't know the reason. In fact, I almost returned home after my trip without knowing about this store. However, I happened to meet my guide, Yuri, and he strongly recommended that it was a restaurant with over 100 years of tradition, so I ended up visiting it. The first impression was very unfamiliar. There wasn't a single foreigner in sight, and locals were coming in families and enjoying their own meals. As time passed, food came out one by one, and we started eating salad, stew, and stir-fried potatoes. “I have to say, it was the most perfect meal during my 5-day trip to Russia.” Even though it was a traditional Russian dish, it suited our taste very well, and not only the taste but also the service and atmosphere were flawless. Next time I come to Vladivostok, I want to visit this place two or three times.
