“Bates Motel”. All bad reviews here are spot-on. The 4.0 rating is obviously from many years ago. If I could rate this dump as a ZERO, I would. Currently the entire property is run-down, crooked, musty, full of mildew, with no ventilation. We started coughing as soon as we entered so we left and drove home. Windows are painted shut, no screens, carpet stained and frayed. No one there to check in, no response to phone calls, no Wi-Fi, no bar or restaurant as advertised. These are negligent owners although they say they live on property. Don’t waste your money. Service: 1

The staff was very nice, but the place desperately lacked maintenance TLC. It’s a B and B with no breakfast! Bed was comfortable, room was clean, but the place was so-so. I’m sure back in its day, it was gorgeous! We were given a discount for breakfast, and their coffee was delicious! We were told they were between owners. We would have been better at a hotel with breakfast, for what we spent. Service: 2

It was an expensive mistake staying at the 1906 Pine Crest Inn. “Not what we expected for $380 dollars a night” would be a giant understatement. It was clean, but had a dilapidated feeling with uneven creaking floors, gross musty/stale smell, very low weird ceilings, dead-bolt door lock that didn’t work, very cheap wobbly furniture, a bathroom from 1960, and the toilet wouldn’t flush. Just to make sure we couldn’t sleep, the rickety mini refrigerator was placed at the foot of the bed and made an awful noise when the compressor came on every hour or so. I’m lying here, not sleeping, writing this review as I listen to it rattle and grind. If I don’t wake up with bed bugs I’ll be thrilled. We won’t be back.
