If you’re a fan of tacos, 2 Compas Kitchen should be at the top of your list. I’ve had the pleasure of tasting their pastor and birria tacos at both their Arlington and new downtown Dallas locations, and the experience has been consistently exceptional. The pastor tacos are a masterclass in flavor. The pork is marinated to perfection, offering a rich, savory taste with a hint of smokiness. The sweetness of the pineapple complements the meat beautifully, and the fresh cilantro and onions add a refreshing crunch. Every bite is a harmonious blend of flavors that’s simply irresistible. Their birria tacos are just as impressive. The slow-cooked beef is tender and full of deep, rich flavors that make each taco a satisfying indulgence. The flavorful broth served alongside for dipping elevates the experience even further, making these tacos a must-try for any birria fan. What’s even better is the convenience of their locations. Whether you’re in Arlington or downtown Dallas, you can expect the same high quality and delicious taste. 2 Compas Kitchen has truly perfected their tacos, making them a must-try for anyone who loves authentic, flavorful Mexican food. I wanted to have tacos for lunch and was looking for a new place to try and chose this place. I ordered 2 barbacoa tacos and 2 tinga tacos (shredded chicken), beans, and rice. The barbacoa tacos were great! However, the tinga tacos were dry and didn’t have any flavor. The beans and rice also weren’t seasoned very well. The service was great as I was given what I asked for (extra salsa) without hesitation. At some establishments, you get attitude or a dirty look if you ask for extra anything. Due to the great service I received, I’ll be giving this place another try. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $20–30 Food: 3 Service: 5
