We had such a great meal here! Our waitress was really friendly, attentive, and accommodating. She also knew the menu well and was able to explain the dishes, which we really appreciated. Since we ordered quite a few dishes, we were worried that if everything came out at once, some of the hot dishes might get cold. So we asked if the dishes could be brought out in a certain order. She was more than happy to accommodate us and even went through the order with us in detail to make sure everything came out the way we wanted. We really appreciated how thoughtful and flexible she was. Everything we ordered was delicious. The shrimp tempura was crispy, hot, and perfectly fried. The tuna and yellowtail sashimi were thick-cut and super fresh — definitely a highlight for us. The wakame salad was quite an interesting combination for us as Japanese people, with wakame, mekabu, fried tofu typically used for inari sushi, and takuan. It was a little sweeter than we expected, but the combination was unique and surprisingly delicious! The sushi rolls and nigiri were also solid and nicely done. We ended up ordering way too much food, and unfortunately, we had to leave a little bit of the fried rice at the end. Sorry about that! We were especially lucky because everything was half price, so we got to enjoy all of this for a great deal. They also had a discount when ordering two bottles of soju, which was much better value than getting a bottle of wine. Overall, great food, friendly service, and excellent value. We had a fantastic dining experience at 201 Asian Kitchen. We started with edamame and the 201 Asian Kitchen roll, followed by a dim sum platter and the chef’s special spicy braised beef brisket ramen. Every dish was beautifully prepared and full of flavor. The ramen and sushi were truly outstanding, but the entire meal was thoroughly enjoyed from start to finish. We paired everything with warm sake, which was the perfect complement. The owners were incredibly welcoming and friendly, making us feel right at home. Between the amazing food and the warm hospitality, this place is a real gem.
