Good yakitori with very reasonable price. Every dish has very strong aroma of charcoal grilling. Recommend beef tongue, steak, ox tail soup, whole chicken thigh. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I would say this is a great place to eat and dine, with delicious grilled and fried food, and super cold Asahi on tap (ask for the chilled stainless steel mugs)The sets are an incredible value with all the sides - tsukemono, rice , tofu, miso soup and especially the Japanese potato salad well executed. Together with the delicious entrée the Sets are actually an incredible value. My generous serving of kal bi with ume marinade set (see pic) was $15 plus $3!!!The service is great: wait staff were well-spoken, polite young people … I almost thought we were back to the gentler Honolulu times of my youth.Then I looked at the familiar angled back wall of the restaurant and realized this was where my Mom and I would sit and eat watercress stew meat, poi and raw Maui onion with alaea (Yes, this is the site of the old, legendary Ono's Hawaiian Food)Thank you, Aburiya Ibushi for respecting the tradition of good and simple food, graciously served.
