The "dragged through the garden" Chicago dog was the best I've had and the Ditka Polish Dog was far better than anything Portillo's could serve up. I will be back!

What a gem! I had no idea what to expect before walking in the door-- but I'm sure happy that I did. I had a pregnant hankering for a sammie and my fiancé sent me to give this place a shot. Upon walking in I was warmly greeted by a sweet woman at the counter. I ordered the Italian combo, the fried bologna sandwich, and a BLAT. I walked in a stranger and left feeling like I was family. The gentleman that put our sammies together was so thoughtful and kind. The BLAT was my absolute favorite- the bacon was delicious, the croissant and avocado worked beautifully with the fresh lettuce and tomato. The Italian combo came with enough meat to satisfy my fiancés protein driven appetite! He loved it! We added cheese at home, but I think that's something we can add on the next time we order (which might be tomorrow). My son devoured the fried bologna sammie and had enough leftover for second dinner (: Each sandwich was hearty, flavorful, fresh, and checked all the boxes for us. And did I mention the generous pickles served with each sandwich?! Thank you AK Deli for being apart of our family time this evening and for taking such pride in your product/service as a small business in ABQ! I will definitely be spreading the word about the amazing experiences we had.
