No recomiendo para nada este sitio, típico lugar instagrameable con mal servicio y comida cara para lo que es, estaba el lugar vacío y aún así me trajeron primero la bebida a mi, después tiempo después las comidas de las dos cuando ya me había bebido el café y encima se olvidaron la bebida de mi amiga, repito, estando el local prácticamente vacío. Despues mi amiga pidió un vaso de agua simplemente porque debía tomarse una medicación y querían venderle una botella cuando simplemente quería un poco de agua del grifo para su medicación y se la negaron. Para mí este sitio es un NO, muy bonito eso sí, lo justo para sacar dos fotos e irte. Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4

I headed to Aram after spending the evening at the magnificent Royal Opera House Muscat, which was absolutely stunning in every sense of the word. After the performance, I was looking for a good cup of coffee and happened to receive a recommendation from some very friendly locals I met earlier in the evening. It turned out to be one of the better recommendations I received during my time in Muscat. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by a beautifully designed space, both inside and out. The architecture felt elegant without being overwhelming, and the interior embraced a simplicity that was refreshing. Light-filled, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed, it was the kind of place that immediately puts you at ease after a long day. After speaking with the barista and asking for recommendations, I was encouraged to try one of their signature drinks: a creamy espresso unlike anything I had tried before. I will have to say that it truly was one of a kind. It managed to perfectly balance the richness of cream with the boldness of espresso without becoming overly sweet. The texture was incredibly smooth and velvety, yet the coffee notes remained present throughout. It was a delightful drink that showcased both the character of the espresso and the elegance of the cream, rather than allowing one to overpower the other. As mentioned above, the interior was lovely, calm, and inviting. Nothing felt excessive or overly complicated. Instead, the space relied on simple design done well. What elevated the experience even further was the outdoor seating area. With the Royal Opera House and the surrounding galleries directly in view, it created a beautiful setting to sit back, enjoy a coffee, and take in the atmosphere of the neighborhood. Unfortunately, I seem to have misplaced the names of the staff who assisted me. I visited on a Thursday evening, the 23rd of April, sometime after 9:30 PM, and was welcomed by two very kind Filipino women, one working at the front of house and another behind the coffee bar. Both were incredibly warm and helpful, taking the time to explain the menu and guide me toward some of Aram’s finest offerings. Their hospitality made the experience feel all the more genuine and memorable. While the signature espresso was the highlight of my visit, I could not help but notice the variety of desserts, smoothies, and food options being served around me. A few locals I had spoken to earlier highly recommended them as well. Sadly, time was not on my side that evening, but from what I saw, Aram seems to be much more than just a coffee stop. It is certainly a place I would like to revisit and explore more thoroughly. Aram was a wonderful way to end an already beautiful evening in Muscat. Between the excellent coffee, thoughtful design, welcoming staff, and its location opposite one of the city’s most iconic landmarks, it complemented the Opera House experience perfectly.
