Extremely disappointed. Food was overpriced, small portions and I left hungry. An italian restaurant with no bread???? No grated cheese on table. Chicken Parm indicated a $5 charge for spaghetti? Unbelievable. Atmosphere is good, Waiter did not take my desert order. I could have had much better meals at a chain restaurant

I recently checked out Adelinas Restaurant and Bar and had a really great experience overall. First, shoutout to our server Ryan, who was genuinely kind and attentive the whole time. Service like that always makes a difference and he made the experience feel really relaxed and welcoming. The space itself is cute and has a really nice vibe. They have a grass wall that makes a perfect photo backdrop, but just a heads up — you’ll need a larger table in front of it to sit there. If you’re hoping to grab that spot for pictures, definitely come with a group of four or more. Another huge plus: free parking. If you know Philly, you know that alone is a win. It made getting there and leaving super easy. Making a reservation was also simple, and the crowd when we went was really diverse, which I always appreciate. Now the important part — the food and drinks were great. I loved my drinks and everything we ordered hit the mark. One thing I really appreciated was the avocado toast, which was made with actual fresh avocado instead of one of those pre-made spreads a lot of places use. You can definitely taste the difference. Overall it was a really solid experience with good food, good drinks, great service, and a fun atmosphere. I’d absolutely come back. Had a very unsatisfactory meal here last evening (Sunday, December 4, 2022). The service was poor to nonexistent. My lady and I waited 20 minutes for a server to come by. She gave us the specials and started to walk away without asking if we wanted drinks. I stopped her and she did take our drink order, but after another 15 minutes we had to remind her of our drinks. She said she forgot but it took several more minutes to get them. I could see her spending her time talking and making google eyes with the bartender instead of doing her job. Because it took so long, I asked for another glass of wine but never got it. We also had to request water three times before a busboy brought us some. We ordered the mussels appetizer, gnocchi main dish and Italian Avocado Salad. The mussels and salad were fine; the gnocchi was not. It was advertised to have Pecorino Romano, Parmigiano Reggiano, Cracked Pepper and Crispy Prosciutto. It had very little cheese, no pepper (I had to ask to hostess to bring some to the table) and no Prosciutto but a lot of heavy cream. When I complained, they did remove the charge for the gnocchi from my bill. Speaking of the bill, we were charged $4 each for bread which was really crackers toasted with pepper without being told there would be an extra charge. They also added a service charge of $3.12 each with no explanation. The total charge for food and drink was $74 but they charged $6.46 sales tax which would have been the tax before the gnocchi charge was removed. I finally had enough of the complete incompetence. I left no tip and was happy to leave Adelinas Restaurant & Bar never to return. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50
