Albedo is a place with a clear message and vibe. There’s posters about veganism, a cute bio corner for kids and a DJ installation for music nights. While our visit was short you could feel the place had soul. I’m sure that they’re great hosts and love to organise events for their community. However, the food lacked the soul that the location has. There was little depth in flavours, the time it took to prepare did not translate into complexity and the plating did nit invite to take pictures. Cooking vegan is hard, I know. I’m in the plant based business for seven years now and have served food from large caterings to Tomorrowland and promoted plant-based food on TV. So I know how much weight we carry to convince people to try this. But these dishes did not inspire me. I advice the chef, from a good place, to find a cooking book that speaks to their soul, the one thats clearly there in their restaurant. Cooking is a journey and I wish you the best. Experiment, go bold, try different ingredients. And make our plant based community proud! Price per person: €1–10 Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3

We waited 30 minutes for really bad, unseasoned, purple potatoes and a salad. The salade was just unseasoned cabbage with a couple of walnuts and cocktail saus. While waiting, we got our coffee, which was a washed out cappuccino. I can't remember the last time I had a coffee so bad. After the bad coffee, I had hoped the food would have been more enjoyable from looking at the pictures on Google Maps. But it was really dissapointing... Hopefully you guys will be better in the future! But not recommending this place, sadly... Price per person: €10–20 Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2

Albedo Kitchen proofs that vegan food can be super tastfull. They have a small menu, but nice starters and I really like the curry for main course. The whole meal felt very healthy and nutritious. The staff is friendly and dedicated to good food. If one thing I didn't find pleasant, it would be the simple lightbulbs, which personally I think make the atmosphere less friendly. All and all definitely recommended. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Thank you for the kind feedback. Agreed, the lighting is definitely not optimal for the kind of atmosphere we are developing for dining. However we are financially restricted at this point for further superficial improvements. Also we are a multifunctional space that has to meet lighting requirements for the gallery, the music venue and the dining public intermittently. We look forward to seeing you next time!
