Had the rare T-bone and eye fillet at Alpine Hotel—both were out of this world! Perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavour. Highly recommend!

I really like the Alpine hotel. I have not stayed here, only eaten here. The food is probably on the expensive side, with Parmigiania’s here more expensive than some in Melbourne as an example, but the servings are generous. The hotel has a dog as their mascot/spokesperson and they feature on the merchandise but also attend the hotel in person so you can see the dog while you visit, which is a really nice touch. The staff are friendly enough too which is something I also appreciate. Service: 5

Very disappointing experience. Waited over an hour for lamb cutlets on a Monday night when the pub wasn’t even busy. Service was slow, communication was poor, and there was no real acknowledgment of the delay. For a country pub, you expect decent, straightforward service and reasonable wait times — unfortunately this missed the mark badly. Won’t be rushing back.
