Altitude Roastery is the real deal for those who take their caffeine seriously. While most of Al Khuwair is focused on sugar-heavy milkshakes, Altitude focuses on the science of the bean. My professional take: Order the V60 with whatever Ethiopian roast they have on deck. The baristas here actually understand extraction times and temperature. It is one of the few places in Muscat where you can actually sit for two hours with a laptop and not feel rushed. It loses half a star only because the pastry selection doesn't quite reach the 'elite' heights of the coffee, but if you're here for the brew and the vibe, it’s unbeatable. Perfect for a morning work session or a sophisticated catch-up. Tried the Spanish latte and also salted caramel latte. It was OK. Syrups are Monin. Salted caramel was too sweet. Service was good and plenty of seating inside. Price per person: OMR 2–4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
