Chinese fast food canteen restaurant. Offers wide selection of single dishes to family sit down meals to share. I've been more than a hand full of times and service has been good and staff are friendly. Most single meal dishes ie. something on top of rice or noodle dishes come with complementary soup and drink. Food portions and good for the price taste are very good. Milk tea that is not pictured is 7.5 out of 10 for taste. Usually is is busy but you cam get a table. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Order type: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20

I actually quite like this place. I and my family order from here all the time. The prices are really reasonable and the take out is good too. They provide option of soup or white rice. I haven't dined in for a long time and order take out quite often. The prices are so good they are even better than prices at some Chinese food courts e.g. Chartwell Chinese food court. I wish I could give Alton Chinese Restaurant more than 5 stars. This place is absolutely perfect and a true hidden in Scarborough and the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) in every sense. 1. The price and value is UNREAL (S tier). I got the $63 (cash only and tax included) 6 dish combo set which ALSO includes white . No other Chinese restaurant (or restaurant, really) comes even close to offering this value for dish variety, food quantity, and even extras. 2. The quality is AMAZING! (A tier) I’ve tried many different items since they are so flexible with allowing you to pick and choose between whichever dishes in their wide menu variety and it’s all so delicious. Yes, the quality won’t leave you feeling like it’s the best dish you’ve had in your life but it is so respectable and definitely much better than average. Combined with the unreal price and value mentioned above? Absolute steal! 3. The service is CLUTCH! (S tier) Although it’s a no nonsense restaurant that doesn’t prioritize checking up on you periodically for your experience, the workers here are very easy going, flexible, and most importantly efficient! You can expect anything related to your transaction and meal itself to be optimized. It’s very enjoyable if you know that you prioritize these factors, as it’s lacking with so many other competitors. I write reviews for other businesses that impress me but Alton Chinese Restaurant has quickly become my favourite restaurant in Toronto due to these 3 factors and I don’t see this changing any time soon. I hope their business continues to thrive and serve the community for many more years and even decades! I’ll continue to give them my business, rave about them to others, and enjoy their food, since they truly earned every cent and positive word!
