With how expensive everything was, I was really expecting something more nice? The eggs Benedicts my mom and I got were really bland. The hollandaise sauce just kind of tasted like mayonnaise and they needed a lot of salt. There were greens on top and my mom thought they were just a garnish and didnt eat them. With the name Americana on the main street in Sebastopol, we thought it would be a more fancy place... but instead they were playing loud, trashy country music covers of hip-hop songs and the staff all seemed like they were not happy to be working there. Definitely won't be coming back. Meal type: Brunch Price per person: $20–30 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

Thank you for sharing your experience. Our Eggs Benedict—and especially our hollandaise—are made entirely from scratch every morning, so hearing that it came across as bland is useful feedback for us. The greens on top are meant to be part of the dish, not a garnish, and reflect seasonal options throughout the year. As for the atmosphere, we’re a casual, farm-to-table café, not a fine-dining concept, even though we take a lot of pride in the quality of the ingredients we source and the work that goes into every plate. Regarding the team, they work hard every day and care deeply about what they do. We stand behind them. We know we’re not going to be everyone’s style, but we take the work, the ingredients, and the people behind this restaurant seriously. We appreciate you giving us a try.
