This was my first visit here. I ordered garlic naan, veg pakoras, and chicken dal. The garlic naan was one of the best I've had. There was a lot of garlic on the naan, but it was not overwhelming. The flavor was really balanced and delicious. I highly recommend that you order this. The veg pakoras were also amazing. The portion was really large and a very affordable price. They were fried well and not too oily. The flavor was excellent. They were served with two chutneys. I believe one is tamarind and one is mint/cilantro. The mint chutney was incredible. It was super fresh tasting and worked so well with the pakora. I seriously wish I had more of it to use with other food it was so good. I also liked the tamarind chutney. It was sweet and was so good to alternate between the refreshing mint chutney and the sweet tamarind. For the main I had the chicken dal. This was the first time I've seen dal available in non-veg. It is a lighter curry, but still flavorful and very savory tasting. It came with a large portion of rice. If you are looking for something that is not too strong, or want to try Indian food for the first time, I would definitely recommend the dal. Overall, I am really happy with this restaurant. Everything was delicious, the prices were very reasonable, the staff working were very friendly, and the restaurant was super clean and nice inside. I also want to mention how well the order was packaged. Everything is packaged very tightly, and there is no way it will leak. My bag actually fell over on the drive home, and not even a drop came out of the sauces or curry. I am so glad I tried Amul India Restaurant today. I am very much looking forward to coming back and trying some of the other food they have available.
