Waitress was disrespectful very rude to me and my group and security made us go away 5 times and changed the reason to be able to get in every time. Price per person: £1–10 Parking space: Difficult to find parking Kid-friendliness: My mate had yo go home and get his passport and was still not allowed in

A waitress would not deny u entry.. I take it this was for the England game downstairs ?? In which case there was entry requirement which obviously were not met for you to be refused entry … The 1500 other ppl had a great time, but they obviously read the entry rules… sorry if you feel sour grapes..

We went to go watch the football and got turned away multiple times for different reasons to start with saying all we need is a parent Paul so we got a parent to come and then they said we need a parent for all of you unexpected us to bring Everybody’s parents down and was blatantly rude to us and the waiters were really disrespectful in the way they acted towards us. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Under 18s were only permitted entry within a parent or guardian.. This was advertised and is on all social media platforms.. Sorry,,,

Always searching for a decent Sunday roast to come anywhere near one we’d have at home (read: the best ever!) and found The Anchor Inn Hartshill. Wow! It was fab. From the reception we received from all the team, with lots of smiles, really well trained and full of enthusiasm, to the great Sunday roast! It was really refreshing to find something as good as this, quite unexpectedly! Our food was excellent the menu was comprehensive, and the non Sunday roast looked great too. Portions were considerable, and tasted really nice and fresh. We had three starters: garlic mushrooms; king prawn cocktail and spicy parsnip soup! All top notch! Four mains: one pork and three beef, including one gluten free, which all hit the spot. The Yorkshire puddings are genuinely THE BEST AND BIGGEST! A genuinely great atmosphere, made even better by the team, who were all very smartly turned out, and as mentioned, well trained and “on it”! Quick Caveat: it’s a canal-side pub, that does pub food (well), it’s not fine dining by any means just want to manage expectations. It will no doubt - judging by the number of tables outside - be really busy on warm sunny weekends. Thank you guys. Obviously well managed. Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Dietary restrictions: One of our party booked gluten free… excellent, no problem.
